Oxidative Stress and Antioxidants: Biochemical Basis of Health and Disease

The Department of Uyirvedhiyiyal organized a CME Programme on “Oxidative Stress and Antioxidants: Biochemical Basis of Health and Disease” on 13.08.2026 (Thursday). The programme was graced by Dr. V. Malathi, Dean of Research (S.S) and Associate Professor, Department of Biochemistry, Ethiraj College for Women, who served as the resource person. The session focused on the biochemical mechanisms of oxidative stress, the role of free radicals in health and disease, and the importance of antioxidants in maintaining cellular health.
