On the occasion of National Organ Donation Day (August 3rd), the Department of Kuzhanthai Maruthuvam, in collaboration with the National Service Scheme (NSS), organized a Continuing Medical Education (CME) session focusing on awareness about organ donation. The session was delivered by Dr. Aishwarya Rajkumar, Pulmonologist and Lung Transplant Surgeon at Dr. Rela Institute and Medical Centre, Chromepet.

Dr. Aishwarya Rajkumar highlighted the critical role of organ donation in saving the lives of patients awaiting transplantation. She also provided insightful remarks on the current status of organ donor registration and volunteer participation in Tamil Nadu and across India.
