The CME on “CANCER AWARENESS” as a part of cancer awareness programme organised by Maruthuvam, Aruvai thol maruthuvam and Kuzhanthai maruthuvam department , held on 19.12.2023(Tuesday) was very useful with our guest of honour Dr.T.D.Balamurugan Mch(Surgical oncology),Assistant professor. Arignar Anna cancer Institute, Kanchipuram. As a surgical oncologist he had shared his knowledge on the etiology of cancer along with the pathogenesis of the disease. The information he had shared about the diagnostic techniques would definitely help the undergraduate students in moulding themselves as future clinicians.

He had also discussed about the palliative care and shared deep information about chemo and radiotherapies. He had paved a way for the future doctors to fight cancer with an integrated approach of siddha and modern system of medicine.
Around 300 students and interns attended and acquired knowledge about carcinoma
