Nature Club and NSS jointly organized World Environment Day-2024 is observed on July 5 th at our Sri Sairam Siddha Medical College Campus and is a day dedicated to raising awareness about environmental issues and encouraging global action to protect the environment. World Environment Day focuses on biodiversity conservation and its loss, climate change, plastic pollution and sustainable consumption. The day serves
as a reminder of the urgent need to conserve and sustainably manage our natural resources for future generations. Activities on World Environment Day include tree planting campaigns, tree plants distribution to students, drawing competition on environment awareness events and advocacy campaigns to promote sustainable practices and policies. It’s a day for individuals and communities to reflect on their environmental impact and take concrete steps towards a healthier planet. Ultimately, World Environment Day aims to mobilize global action and inspire people worldwide to become active agents of sustainable and equitable development.
