On account of World Breastfeeding awarness (August 1st week) The Department of Kuzhanthai Maruthuvam and NSS conducted a CME on Newborn Care and Importance of Breast Milk on 8th August 2024. Dr. S. Rajashree MBBS, MRCPH(UK), PPEM, a Senior Consultant Pediatrician from Rela institute, emphasized the irreplaceable nutritional value of breast milk, essential newborn care practices, and the numerous benefits for both mother and child. The CME aimed to enhance healthcare professionals’ knowledge and promote breastfeeding, providing a platform for discussions and addressing challenges faced by mothers.
