The Department of Gunapadam – Marunthiyal and Maruthuvathavaraviyal organized a field visit to Chengalpattu Forest on 12.02.2026 for Second Profession students. To this field visit the study of medicinal plants and understanding their traditional as well as scientific importance.
The visit aimed to provide practical exposure to plant identification, medicinal properties, conservation practices, and the ecological significance of forest biodiversity. The field visit was both informative and educational, enhancing our understanding of medicinal plants and their various applications. It also emphasized the importance of forest conservation and the sustainable utilization of natural resources for future generations.
